The multi-award winning team at The Tartan Campervan Company were delighted to today collect the keys to their new HQ at Olympic Business Park, Dundonald this week.  The company has seen strong growth over the last two years in particular.  They were also delighted to recently retain their title of Best Campervan / Motorhome Rental Company 2019 at the Scottish Outdoor Leisure Awards.  The team was also honored to be finalists in the Tourism Category at the Ayrshire Business awards.  This coming year will see the company add to their rental fleet and move to their new base.

Director, Stuart Shepherd said, “We have simply outgrown our previous location. This move to our newly renovated headquarters gives us the confidence to grow our business even further.”

The company have been providing alternative holiday adventures since 2011. Since a change of ownership in 2016 have grown the fleet to 9 vehicles. The company offers a variety of VW Campervans some as old as 35 years young for enthusiasts looking for that retro feel.

For those new to the campervan scene, the business offers a modern fleet of VW T5s. These vehicles come with modern interiors and a modern driving experience.

2019 will also herald a new direction for the business as they move into the campervan conversion market.  From January the team is delighted to offer high-quality conversions handcrafted at the new HQ by our highly skilled team of conversion experts.

Stuart added, “We are investing a considerable amount of capital into this new venture. We are looking forward to offering great value to those adventurers looking to purchase their own VW campervan.  This year we will create 4 new full and part-time jobs here in Ayrshire.  The Ayrshire area is important to us and although we had options to relocate to Central Scotland we are proud to say we are an Ayrshire Business.”

If you are interested in purchasing a VW campervan or going on a Tartan Campervan Adventure in the future, please feel free to visit our website www.thetartancamper.com.

This brand new VW T5 conversion is male.  Only because the last two, Bonnie and Lotty, are female.  We are looking for some suggestions for his name. Simple really.  We already have Wallace, Hamish and The Bruce in the Clan (plus Jessie, Jinty, Morag, Lotty & Bonnie) so over to you.

At the Tartan Campervan Company we welcome adventurers from all around the world who want to explore Scotland, The UK and Europe in a fun and affordable campervan with a Tartan Twist!  If you would like to learn more about what we do or would like a quotation please visit www.thetartancamper.co.uk for more details.

Back to the competition.  From your thousands of suggestions, we will pick our favourite and all the people who suggested that name will go into the hat to win a hamper containing lots of Scottish goodies including Scottish malt whisky, Scottish Gin, Tartan Camper Goodies and other lovely bits n bobs.

So don’t be shy, just post your suggestion in the comment box below this social media post and give us a share to enter.

Tartan Campervan Company Supports Kiltwalk Glasgow

The Tartan Campervan Clan were delighted to participate in the 2018 #Kiltwalk Glasgow on the 29th April.  We think you will agree that our Tartan Campervans were a perfect match for the thousands of Tartan walkers who streamed past our location @STV studios on the Clydeside.  We were delighted to offer participants the chance to enter our #tartancamperspotting competition where they could win a holiday in one of our campers for the best selfie or photo as chosen by the Kiltwalk organisers.

Happy New Year 2018!

The team at the Tartan Campervan Company got 2018 off to a great start by taking part in the New Year’s Day Dook at South Beach.  Along with 15 other brave souls, Stuart took the plunge into the icy waters to raise money to help send local children and adults with disabilities to Lourdes.  This year the Dook was proudly supported by Rowan and the young Camper Clan who provided teas and coffees to help warm up ‘dookers’ and spectators alike.  Overall a great way to start the year and from all of us at The Tartan Camper Company we’d like to wish you all the very best for 2018.
